Hello friends, my name is Dee Shelton, Jr.  I am running to represent District 2 for Town Council.  This election is extremely important as you will finally be able to elect your representative from within your own district without influence from other districts, with residents that do not know the issues that you and I face as neighbors.

I currently sit on the holding corporation for the Clarksville School System, The Clarksville Historic Preservation Commission, and Clarksville Building Commission.  It is my desire to preserve and expand our growth for our children, grandchildren and generations to come.

After speaking with several of my neighbors, we do believe now is the time for a fresh set of eyes that sees our issues, and time for someone that truly pays attention to what our neighbors need and want for our community.  It is time for a change, and I am the neighbor that will listen to your needs, and get the job done.  I am the neighbor that will voice your concerns and not abstain from votes for fear of upsetting potential future votes.  I will do what I am asked by my neighbors, and not afraid to go against others, even when it’s “unpopular”.

I look forward to meeting and talking to you personally in the near future. Please do not hesitate to contact me, you can do so at . I humbly ask for your consideration come November 2019.

“Your Voice, Your Choice, Your Future”

My Family

I have lived in Clarksville, in the same neighborhood for over 30 years.  I graduated from Clarksville High School in 1995, and have been married to my beautiful wife and best friend for 22 years.

I have been very active in our community, as I have coached at Clarksville Little League for 7 years, and was the safety director for 5 years.  Our two children attend Clarksville High School, and Clarksville Middle School, with our oldest graduating this year.  We have also been members of Northside Church for 8 years.
